The clerical Assembly of Experts: Khomeini wrote to Montazeri that you will hand over the county to liberals and through them to the Mojahedin

Regime's leaders confess to their participation and agreement with the 1988 massacre and their fear of distortion of Khomeini's image and added credibility for the Mojahedin in Iran and abroad
The Iranian Resistance's President-elect Maryam Rajavi described the statement issued by the Assembly of Experts on the massacre of political prisoners in 1988, as an explicit, decisive and official document indicating the agreement and complicity of the regime's present leaders in the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners and committing this crime against humanity.

Iran: Sunni execution proves human rights sanctions are necessary

Add caption

At a time when one would think Iran after the nuclear agreement with the international community would begin to wind down its human rights violations, especially the use of executions, recent reports indicate 33 individuals were sent to the gallows on Tuesday, Aug. 2. Congress should dismiss any call for appeasement vis-à-vis Iran and continue pursuing and holding firm its sanctions against the mullahs’, especially those punishing Tehran’s atrocious human rights violations.
Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi condemned Tehran’s mass execution of Sunni prisoners as “an appalling crime against humanity."
“The mullahs’ anti-human regime carried out the mass execution of our Sunni brothers on the anniversary of the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran. They are trying in vain to contain the volatile social atmosphere and popular protests by terrorizing the public,” she said.
This is while the Iranian Diaspora communities across the globe are marking the 28th anniversary of the extensive 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners in Iran in the course of a few months, pledging to have their voices heard and raise awareness on Iran’s horrendous human rights record.
This marks one of Iran’s most atrocious mass executions in recent times. Iranian judiciary officials claim 20 of these individuals were Sunni Kurds, executed in Gohardasht (Rajaie Shahr) Prison in Karaj, west of the capital, Tehran.  These individuals had denied all charges raised against them, and in video clips and text posted on the Internet revealed they had spent time in “solitary confinement” and placed “under torture.”
Iran is known for its skyrocketing number of executions and practice of obtaining coerced confessions through torture and other banned methods. The mullahs have also proved their “sickening enthusiasm” of sending juveniles to the gallows, all in violation of international laws and respecting no bounds in this regard, said Magdalena Mughrabi, Deputy Middle East and North Africa Program Director of Amnesty International. International law, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child to which Iran is a state party, absolutely prohibits the use of death penalty for crimes committed when the defendant was below 18 years of age. Yet apparently this is a pretext Iran refuses to respect.
Shahram Ahmadi, amongst those recently executed, had spent 33 months in solitary confinement and sentenced to death after a “five-minute” trial. He never enjoyed access to a lawyer.
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein issued a statement condemning this mass execution of Sunni Kurds in Iran as a “grave injustice.” The High Commissioner expressed his doubts over the fact that these individuals ever received a fair trial. Al-Hussein also referred to Ahmadi’s case, adding he was forced under pressure to sign an interrogation paper including false allegations raised against him.
This horrific act of carnage by Iran has sparked a series of global condemnations from a large number of international organizations, accusing the regime in Tehran of launching these executions with sectarian objectives, and demanding a halt to human rights violations. The International Federation of Human Rights Societies and Center of Human Rights Advocate also issued separate statements condemning the execution of Sunni prisoners in Iran.
Iran was one of the world’s top executioners in 2015 after putting 977 people to death, according to Amnesty International. Iran hanged 44 convicted drug traffickers in the span of just two days in 2009. This spelled one of the country's biggest mass executions to that. While international law absolutely limits the application of the death penalty to the “most serious crimes”, which refers to intentional killing, the mullahs’ so-called laws and constitution criminalize various measures and sentence people to death under such terms, not seen anywhere else. Even human rights advocates, including the highly praised Narges Mohammadi, are thrown behind bars for publicly advocating anti-death penalty campaigns. This mother of twins has been deprived by Iranian officials and authorities of seeing her own children, and only permitted one phone call in over a year.
The recent execution of nearly three dozen Sunni Kurds in one day adds to Iran’s already dismal human rights history, especially in the past three years after the “moderate” Hassan Rouhani came to power.
In his statement to the UN Human Rights Council - Session 31- on March 14, 2016, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran, Dr. Ahmed Shaheed, said: “At least 966 persons — the highest rate in over two decades — were executed in 2015. At least 73 juvenile offenders were reportedly executed between 2005 and 2015. In the past two years alone, 16 juvenile offenders were executed.”
In their practice of executing juveniles the mullahs have illustrated yet again their callous disregard for human rights. 160 individuals remain in torment on death row in prisons spanning across Iran for crimes allegedly committed during their juvenile years.
The shocking stroke of irony in the recent executions lies in the fact that this incident comes as the European Union is reportedly suggesting to launch human rights negotiations with Iran. Any reasonable party figures Iran would at least consider halting executions prior to such talks. However, this proves once again that Iran takes serious only a brazen and decisive language. This should also serve as a lesson on how Iran disregards and in fact abuses any interceding measures and has refused to budge on any of its old tactics after the much boasted “historic” nuclear agreement.

VIDEO: IRAN'S MARYAM RAJAVI MEETS PALESTINIAN PRESIDENT MAHMOUD ABBAS

The following video clip of the meeting was published on the YouTube account of President Mahmoud Abbas:

The following is the text of the statement by the NCRI Secretariat:
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, meets President Mahmoud Abbas
On Saturday evening, July 30, 2016, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, met with Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, and they discussed the crises in the region.
President Mahmoud Abbas, at the meeting, reiterated the need to combat fundamentalism and terrorism in the region and informed Mrs. Rajavi of the latest developments in the Middle East, in particular regarding Palestine and France's initiative.
Mrs. Rajavi expressed gratitude for the solidarity of the Palestinian resistance and its leader with the Iranian people and Resistance. She congratulated the Palestinian government on its victories and expressed hope that the goal of the Palestinian people would be achieved. She reiterated that the Iranian regime is the main instigator of sectarian discord, fundamentalism and terrorism in the entire region, in particular in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Palestine, but she added that today the mullahs' regime is at its weakest and most fragile and vulnerable state. This reality can be seen clearly in the hysteric reaction of the regime's officials and state media to the Iranian Resistance's July 9 gathering.
Mrs. Rajavi reiterated that the regime is above all fearful of the solidarity and unity between the Iranian people and Resistance and the countries and nations of the region. Therefore, the countries of the region and the Iranian people and Resistance ought to take the initiative to free the region from the scourge of fundamentalism.

Iranian opposition consolidates efforts with Palestinians

President of National Council of Resistance (NCRMaryam Rajavi met on Saturday, in Paris with the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. At the meeting, the two politicians reiterated the need to combat terrorism and fundamentalism in the region, and discussed the French initiative to revive peace process between Israel and Palestine.
Rajavi, a leader of the Iranian opposition in exile met with Mahmoud Abbas, who visited Paris to discuss two-state solution with the French President Francois Hollande and US Secretary of State John Kerry. Abbas expressed his solidarity with the NCR, whereas Rajavi supported the initiative of France regarding the resumption of Israel-Palestine peace talks, and accused the Iranian regime of instigating sectarian discord in the region.
The NCR was founded in July 1981 in Tehran to oppose the fundamentalist regime ruling Iran and establish a pluralist democracy. Eventually, the Council moved its headquarters to Paris. On July 9, 2016 NRC organised an annual rally in the capital of France, which brought together dissidents and activists living in exile from Iran around the world.

Ambassador Bloomfield Speaks of the West's Misunderstanding of Iran

Add caption
28 Jul - At the Free Iran rally on July 9 in Paris, Ambassador Lincoln P. Bloomfield Jr. gave an interview to the ‘Alliance for Public Awareness - Iranian Communities in Europe’.
Ambassador Bloomfield was U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political Military Affairs from 2001-2005, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern affairs (1992-1993), Deputy Assistant to the Vice President for National Security Affairs (1991-1992), and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs (1988-1989).
In the interview, Bloomfield addressed U.S. government officials’ misunderstandings of both the Iranian regime and the Iranian Resistance.
He said, the U.S. is "illiterate about the significance of June 20, 1981 when the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) tried to uphold a ‘glorious outpouring of democracy,’ and Khomeini's theocrats ‘shot their way to power.’ From the failure to appreciate the true meaning of this event have flowed a number of other misperceptions that are only now being corrected - although ‘the work goes on’ to dispel ‘a global influence operation’ by the regime's Intelligence Ministry (MOIS).”
He explained that after the revolution, the PMOI endeavored to spread their message and garner support, but “on June 20, 1981, a peaceful demonstration by half-a-million PMOI supporters in Tehran was turned into a bloodbath on the orders of Khomeini, and the PMOI were forced to go underground and begin a Resistance campaign to expose and unseat the Khomeini regime.”
Further, he said, “On the one hand, the US does not understand that the regime's illegitimacy makes it behave in certain ways, and that factional fighting is best understood as a contest about how to maintain ‘one man's religious dictatorship,’ or velayat-e faqih, rather than about how to reform it. As such, President Obama's hope that the nuclear deal would lead to détente with a moderating government was misplaced. The regime has not only ‘cheated’ on the nuclear deal known as the JCPOA, but its domestic and international behaviour has worsened.”
Additionally, according to Ambassador Bloomfield, “On the other hand, the US, like other Western countries, has approached the PMOI or MEK as a ‘diplomatic commodity,’ restrictions upon its work for democracy traded with the Iranian regime in hopes of concessions. Referring to the eight-year investigation undertaken by the French which could find no evidence of terrorism, only resistance, Ambassador Bloomfield also spoke about his own research journey into the nature of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), of which the PMOI or MEK is a major part.”
In the interview, Ambassador Bloomfield described his own realization of “a global influence operation” by the regime's Intelligence Ministry “which had distorted the historical facts.” The fact that he cared so much about his own government, made it imperative that "they have the right facts," but his challenges to the current Administration to find proof that his analysis are incorrect have been met with silence.
He was initially skeptical of the NCRI's president-elect, Maryam Rajavi, when he heard her describe the regime as "weak," but her "sharp political sense" and observations "split about how best to keep power for the regime." He realized that, “It was the "paranoia" of illegitimacy which drove the factional debate and thus demonstrated the underlying weakness of the regime.”
He concluded by saying, “Regime change would not come from the outside, but from the Iranian people flowing with the global tide of those insisting that government should serve the people, he said. The West had to confront a regime which undermined it with terror, and "atone" for its ill-informed treatment of the Iranian Resistance.”

As Ramadan Ends, So Must Falsely Labeled 'Jihad'

Continued from page 1
Another horrifying trait of extremists is their attempt to discredit moral, humanitarian and Islamic principles as they grapple for power. Before becoming the leader of Iran, Khomeini in his book titled The Islamic Statedeemed as permissible mass killings in order to ensure the survival of the state or, as he put it, in order to “uproot many of the corrupt races that are harmful to society.”
Is it not true that monotheistic religions were revealed in order to imbue human beings with moral codes and humanitarian principles? Were the Ten Commandments of Moses or everything that Jesus and Mohammad said not intended to contain the aggressive, greedy and oppressive tendencies of human beings in order to inaugurate a path toward freedom?
It brings me deep sorrow that extremists of all stripes portray themselves as defenders of Islamic and moral standards. In order to implement unjustified violence, which they falsely describe as “Islamic punishments,” they have amputated limbs, gouged out eyes and stoned women to death with indescribable barbarity.
No one has trampled upon Islamic law more than this bunch. As the Quran says, “And of men is he whose speech about the life of this world pleases thee, and he calls Allah to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most violent of adversaries. And when he holds authority, he makes effort in the land to cause mischief in it and destroy tilth and offspring; and Allah loves not mischief” (Quran 2:204-205).
The spirit of goodwill
It is critical for true followers of Islam to stand up against perversions of our faith. And there are many groups who seek to do this, one of which is the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), the main component of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). Since its founding in 1965, the group has embarked on a theoretical effort to understand the truth of Islam and wipe away dogmatic and static readings of the Quran. The NCRI succeeded in promoting in Iranian society the credible views of Islam on freedom, human rights, social justice, gender equality and the rights of ethnic and religious minorities and other matters.
Muslims worldwide must come together to reject sectarianism and religious conflicts. We must declare that the struggle is not between Shiites and Sunnis, or Muslims and Christians, or the people and culture of the Middle East against the people and culture of the West. Rather, the main struggle is between tyranny and extremism on the one hand, and democracy and freedom on the other. And as this month of Ramadan comes to an end, we must not allow the spirit of goodwill to leave with it.

Paris rally showcases global unity for change in Iran

A grand July 9th rally in Paris became a major platform calling on the international community to begin shifting its Iran policy. The regime of Tehran has no place in the future of Iran and the Middle East, and the West’s flawed appeasement policy vis-à-vis the mullahs has failed, leading to Iran’s expansionism across the region. Imperative now is unity amongst Middle East countries against Tehran and in support of the organized Iranian opposition,National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its President-elect Maryam Rajavi.
The Paris event demonstrated the serious steps taken to render such an alliance. Prominent political figures and MPs from all over the world and especially various countries in the Middle East displayed a colorful array of support for the Iranian opposition. Saudi Arabia’s Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, the former head of Saudi intelligence, was amongst the special guests in this event. His voice symbolized the intention of Arab states to adopt a new perspective for change in Iran, establishing peace in the Middle East and condemning Tehran’s notorious meddling in the entire region.
The keynote speaker of the rally was Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi, a leading advocate of unity amongst Arab and Islamic nations.

The year-old nuclear deal between Iran and the world powers has done little to deter the Iranian regime’s menacing activities in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other countries in the region. This has left no question why many regional governments have severed ties with Tehran.
Rajavi criticized the West for its failed attempts to curb Iran through appeasement, stressing that the results have so far been the reverse of expectations.
“In the year since the nuclear accord,” Rajavi said, “many of the sanctions were lifted and oil exports increased. But the generated revenues were poured into the Syria war inferno.”
Concerns among regional countries over ongoing crises in the Middle East preventing peace in the region is regarding Iran’s continuing expansionism and focusing efforts to shore up the Bashar Assad regime, meddling in Iraq and the continue the war in Yemen. The West’s silence in the face of Tehran’s meddling is enabling the mullahs commit further genocide throughout the region. This has rendered a similar modus operandi adopted by Iran and Daesh (ISIS) in reading from the same script and abusing the teachings of Islam to commit barbarity and savagery.
In his speech, Prince Turki bin Faisal denounced the Iranian regime’s role in destabilizing the Middle East and called for strong international ties to be made with the Iranian Resistance.
“Your fight and struggle against the Iranian regime will triumph soon and this is a matter of when, not if,” he said. “I want regime change, too,” Prince Faisal responded to the crowd’s slogans for the overthrow of the Iranian regime. “We in the Islamic world will support you from the depth of our hearts,” he emphasized.
As the Middle East continues to burn in turmoil, the international community is learning more than ever before of Iran’s leading role in fueling this blaze. Iran is allocating billions to safeguard its own interests across the region, coming at the cost of innocent lives and vast destruction in Syria, Iraq, and beyond.
The innocent people of the region remain victims of the support provided by Tehran for the regime of Bashar Assad and financing its armed militia groups in Iraq. The Iranian opposition has become a leading voice loathing the mullahs’ campaign of dispatching tens of thousands of troops to various countries under the close watch of Quds Force commander Qassem Suleimani.
This regime represents a challenge that can only be properly addressed through firm action, such as the measures seen taken against its support for the Houthis in Yemen.
After a virtually endless string of failures in taming the Iranian regime through concessions and leniency, the world community now has before it the opportunity to adopt a firm policy of supporting the Iranian people and the organized NCRI opposition alternative to deliver a strong message to the mullahs in Tehran.
“We offer a solution that is the only effective option, and the most indispensable and attainable answer,” Mrs. Rajavi said in her speech, “the right of the Iranian people to overthrow the religious dictatorship and attain freedom and democracy

MARYAM RAJAVI: DEFEAT OF MULLAHS' AGGRESSION IN THE REGION IS ESSENTIAL TO SECURE THE IRANIAN PEOPLE'S FREEDOM

 maryam rajavi e743cd4cc7e09fbaaf

Message to the British Parliament on the declaration by the majority of UK’s elected representatives in support of the Iranian ResistanceHonorable members of the British Houses of Parliament,Dear friends of the Iranian Resistance,I salute your conference!I am grateful for the initiative by the majority of United Kingdom’s elected representatives in support of the Iranian Resistance for freedom and democracy. This is a commendable step towards the adoption of a responsible policy vis-a-vis the Iranian regime and the entire Middle East. In light of the Iranian regime's nefarious role in the crisis in the region, this initiative has also addressed the interests of the people of the region, the people of Europe and the world, in general. Also let me congratulate you for officially registering the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom in the British Parliament. There is no doubt this has been a great achievement and a result of all your tireless efforts and the enduring support by the honorable elected members of the UK parliament for Iranian resistance movement throughout many years.
Dear friends, One year after the nuclear agreement, contrary to some expectations in the West, there has not been any opening in Iran; the situation has dramatically worsened. There have been more executions and arrests, flogging of workers for demanding their past-due wages, arrests and lashing of youths for taking part in coed parties. Concerts have been banned, and political prisoners have come under more pressure. On the other hand, the Iranian economy is in a deep recession, with banks near bankruptcy, unemployment rate reaching 50 percent and the majority of the people living in poverty. The internal power struggle has escalated. The sham elections in March further reinforced the position of the most repressive mullahs in power. Once again it was proven that there would be no moderation within the religious dictatorship ruling Iran. The clerical regime lacks the capacity to change its behavior. No solution is conceivable within the regime. The mullahs have stepped up their meddling in Syria. In Iraq, the Quds Force has repeatedly massacred the Sunnis. The important development in this regard has been the successive defeats and heavy casualties suffered by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and its militia in Syria. The indisputable fact is that the Syrian conflict has turned into a quagmire for the regime. The regime has stepped up repression and warmongering because it faces growing discontent at home. It is intent on preventing any expression of discontent, or a repeat of the 2009 uprising. But, the regime’s aggressive behavior in the region must be viewed as a sign of its weakness and not power; it needs to export its crises abroad.Khamenei and other leaders of the regime have acknowledged that if they do not fight in Syria, in Iraq and in Yemen, their power base in Tehran would be undermined. This explains why Iran's ruling regime has turned into the main source of instability in the region. On the one hand, it repeatedly breaches the sovereignty of other nations in the Middle East. On the other hand, it cracks down on Sunnis and other dissident and democratic forces. This provides a breeding ground for Daesh. Many attest to the fact that Daesh and IRGC have a symbiotic relationship. In practice, both benefit from one another.Because the mullahs’ warmongering in the region is contrary to the highest interests of the Iranian people, prevents the Iranian Resistance from establishing freedom and democracy in Iran, and has also destroyed the Iranian economy, the Iranian Resistance is putting forth a plan to counter the mullahs' belligerence and its attempts to occupy the region. The plan calls on the U.S., Europe and regional powers to adopt several practical steps, outlined as follows:1. Compelling the Iranian regime to remove its forces and affiliated militia from Syria. Adopting punitive measures, including sanctions, against the Iranian regime if it refused to do so. Blocking the Iranian regime’s participation in the talks on the transfer of power to the people of Syria. 2. Refraining from cooperation or coordination with IRGC and the militia under its command as well as other military and security forces of the Iranian regime on the pretext of fighting Daesh in Iraq or in Syria.3. Strictly implementing Security Council Resolution 2231 by taking effective practical measures to prevent the Iranian regime from sending arms to terrorist groups and to countries in the region, especially to Iraq and Syria. Holding it to account for any breaches. 4. Cutting ties with the Iranian regime by Arab and Muslim countries and expelling the regime from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation until it ends its regional meddling.5. Providing all-out political, financial and military support to the moderate Syrian opposition already recognized by many countries. 6. Predicating all political and economic relations with the Iranian regime on ending its meddling in the region, banning all deals with IRGC-affiliated companies, and investment in their projects as well as exchanges with the Iranian regime's banks, which engage in money laundering and fund terrorist groups.Dear friends,On behalf of the Iranian people and Resistance, I would like to appreciate your efforts in support of the Iranian people's freedom and human rights as well as your support for the safety and security of the freedom fighters in Camp Liberty.

London, 1 Jul - At a conference in the House of Commons on Thursday, June 30, UK policy toward Iran was discussed by a panel consisting of experts on Iranian affairs and parliamentarians from both Houses of Parliament and each major political party, Politics Home reported on Friday.
The parliamentarians expressed their concern over recent increases in the number of executions in Iran, the use of barbaric punishments, such as flogging and amputations by Iranian authorities, and arbitrary arrests under bogus charges like undermining “national security” or “Mohareb (enmity towards God)“.
Speakers pointed out that the intensified crackdown on civil society, suggest that the regime has no other answer to the legitimate democratic aspiration of the Iranian people or the increasing levels of popular dissent.
The Rt Hon David Jones MP presented an initiative supported by nearly 400 members of all major parties in both Houses of Parliament. The initiative urges the UK Government to adopt a firm, responsible policy towards Tehran. It laid out the following recommendations as the base of such policy:
1. Strongly condemning human rights violations and demanding a halt to executions.
2. Requiring Iran to remove its Revolutionary Guards and mercenary forces from other countries, especially Syria and Iraq.
3. Guaranteeing the safety and protection of Iranian dissident exiles residing at Camp Liberty until they all depart from Iraq and reach supporting host countries, especially Albania.
4. Calling on the EU, US and world leaders to support the 10 point plan for the future of Iran, presented by the Iranian opposition leader, Maryam Rajavi, which emphasises the establishment of a secular democratic republic, free elections, gender equality in all fields, prohibition of discrimination, abolition of the death penalty, and peace and coexistence in the region and the world.
In her message to the conference, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), thanked the MPs and Peers for their initiative and support and said, the Supreme Leader “Khamenei and other leaders of the regime have acknowledged that if they do not fight in Syria, in Iraq and in Yemen, their power base in Tehran would be undermined. This explains why Iran's ruling regime has turned into the main source of instability in the region … Because the mullahs’ warmongering in the region is contrary to the highest interests of the Iranian people, prevents Iranian Resistance from establishing freedom and democracy in Iran, and has also destroyed the Iranian economy.”
Struan Stevenson, a former MEP who chaired the Friends of a Free Iran intergroup (caucus) in the European Parliament for over 10 years, added: “Iran cannot be part of the solution to the conflicts raging in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Libya. It is part of the problem. Iran exports terror … the West should be entering into dialogue with the political coalition that is the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), rather than pussyfooting around with the mullahs in Tehran”.
Other speakers at the conference included Mark Williams MP; Steve McCabe MP; Bob Blackman MP; Lord Clarke of Hampstead CBE; Lord Alton of Liverpool; Lord Cotter; Professor Sara Chandler, Vice President of European Bars Federation and member of the Law Society; Mr Masoud Zabeti, president of the Committee of Anglo-Iranian lawyers; Ms Naghmeh Rajabi, Representative of the Anglo-Iranian Youth and Women Society.
A delegation of British MPs and Members of the House of Lords plan to attend the Iranian opposition’s annual “Free Iran” rally in Paris on 9 July.
